The customer required an inspection module to measure the height of pins in an assembly. The machine was capable of measuring 8 different variations of parts. Module was an 8 station custom dial. All measurements were captured and downloaded to SPC system.

Customer wanted us to build a module that would automatically inspect threads in a steel housing. The conveyor was loaded from the machining center to a conveyor that transported the housing to a servo driven thread inspection device. The computer system would monitor the torque of the servo motor as the thread gauge was run through. The tooling also inspected the hole chamfer´s.

Customer wanted to inspect parts that were machined at their facility prior to shipment to their customer. The machine has the capability to cycle at 60ppm. The parts were fed out of a vibratory feeder bowl down a gravity track to the inspection stations. Inspections included: Gauge ID with LVDT, measure height using a laser probe and inspect for features present using vision.

An operator loads spacers to an incline. An escapement stops the part and it is automatically measured for the overall length.
